This framed alcohol ink was done with one of a two part set of frames I just got. I started with a striped teal background for the frame, then used the alcohol inks directly on the glass. I sprayed the frame teal and put it all together. This is similar to the smaller, more rectangular piece I made and sold this weekend at my art show. I will do the second frame in a similar fashion, so they may be purchased separately or in a set.
I just made this alcohol ink abstract piece and framed it for my art show tomorrow. The color of the frame is actually turquoise, though my camera on my phone doesn't show that well. I made an alcohol ink piece (not pictured) tonight with my friend on acetate. I now know for sure that even someone who does not consider herself artistic, like my friend, can create beautiful abstract pieces with these materials with ease. I created some new alcohol ink abstract paintings on acetate tonight. The red and blue pictures are the originals, the brighter blue one with aqua colored bubbles on the right was digitally edited. I am excited for this weekend, I have a fantastic photographer friend coming into town who can take some higher resolution pictures of my work. I can then use those to order prints of the digitally edited versions of those photos, and make photo books of my work. I am going to ask some offices if I can leave a copy in their waiting room's with their magazines. I am trying to get creative with my marketing. I have an art show coming up this month, and two more next month. I am really excited to share my new stock.
I created some more alcohol inks abstract pieces on acetate, also backed with mixed media paper. The 4 smaller ones were all cut from one piece of the acetate, while the 2 larger ones are single pieces. I love how bright the acetate makes the alcohol inks look. I also really love the spray adhesive I have been using to attach the paper backing. It is so easy to use, and works really well.
I just got a new order of art supplies in the mail, and I am so excited with how the acetate works with the alcohol inks. Here are two examples of different alcohol inks dropped and blown across the clear acetate, which is then attached to white paper, to brighten the inks. I am going to do some new effects with stamps on the paper, behind the colorful ink backgrounds. I am on a 3dimensional kick lately, and want to use actual layers in my new pieces, instead of just paint layers.
This abstract painting was done almost entirely with alcohol inks. The very bottom layer is acrylic and then watercolor pencils, most of which were wiped off with alcohol. The alcohol inks were then added and removed in multiple layers, until the desired effect was achieved. The last layers were the drippings, which became and abstract landscape on an alien planet
I just got some new stamps on the mail with my alcohol inks, which I have been stamping with all night. Pretty soon everything in my studio will be covered in stamped butterflies and eye chart letters! I love these steampunk stamps; which makes up for the letter stamp set I had to cut apart myself, ruining half in the process.
This is the results of my newest batch of eggshell pendants. These were also painting with alcohol inks, ones I just got in the mail. I am excited for the next two upcoming shows, starting in less than two weeks, for which I will have a lot of new material.

I have been working on a new batch of domino pendants, these were created with handmade stamps. They were colored with black acrylic paint and alcohol inks.
This domino pendant shows the new direction I am taking with these pendants. This bird was stamped with black acrylic paint, to add some texture. I ordered some new stamps, and I am going to stamp them on the dominos, and then color the background with alcohol inks. This bird stamp I made myself, and I will probably be making some more as well. It is fun to be able to make your own stamps, and know they are truly one of a kind.
Here is another batch of eggshell pendants I just finished. They are a bit more tricky than I thought they would be, with the removal of the membrane and the gluing/inking processes.
These pendents are made from recycled dominos and eggshells. The domino gives the pendant its shape, and the eggshells add texture. They were also colored with alcohol inks.
These pendants were formed with variations of the same shape. Two were formed from a mold of a piece of jewelry I made the other day, the third was molded directly from the jewelry itself. Two were colored with alcohol inks, one with the mixatives, and one was made from the makume gane block.
Just pulled this pendants out of the oven and finished them with a matte spray. These pendants were all colored with alcohol inks and mica powders. The top 5 were cut with a round cutter, the rest were freeformed. I like the variety, as I have found that some people prefer perfectly round pendants, and other like theirs to have a little more character. I am excited for the next upcoming shows, I already have 3 lined up, two of which are next month. I am hoping to participate in more local art shows this year, and have more pieces available at them.
This piece started off as a very insanely colored painting I did awhile back. I needed to tone it down, so I put a thick layer of gesso over it and then used a palette knife to carve a pattern into it. I then put a ton of alcohol and alcohol inks over top of the still wet gesso layer. I added and removed layers of the inks until I had the desired effect.
This abstract painting was done mostly with alcohol inks, as well as some acrylic inks. It has a bunch of layers, and has an organic flow to it. I have an art show tomorrow, and I am more than prepared for it. After that I will be on vacation until thursday, so I most likely won't have a chance to post until then.
