Alcohol ink abstract

This abstract painting was done mostly with alcohol inks, as well as some acrylic inks. It has a bunch of layers, and has an organic flow to it. I have an art show tomorrow, and I am more than prepared for it. After that I will be on vacation until thursday, so I most likely won't have a chance to post until then.

  1. I sure hope your art show goes (or went) well. You've been working hard. I love this piece. It reminds me of the cosmos in some pictures I've seen. Great technique with the inks, and I love the color choice. Very nice!

  2. Thank you so much, the shows were okay, not that busy. I really appreciate your comments, they are so nice. I really love this piece too, though a lday requested that I make this exact one way bigger for her home. A friend watching my booth accepted for me and gave her my email. The problem is alcohol ink is so unpredictable, and really near impossible to replicate, especially this one because the mixture of the colors create new, unexpected colors. The pink in the bottom is not even close to a color I own. I hope I can figure something out for this lady's request. Do you ever work with alcohol inks? They last forever and can be used on a ton of mediums, even polymer clay...
