Elephant abstract painting

This painting was inspired and given to my friend Lily, who I work with in the summer. She loves elephants, and so do I. This was done using the weird effects of gesso, self-leveling gel and acrylic paint.

Abstract watercolor

This piece was done with a number of techniques. The colors are watercolors, the squares are made with tissue paper and made to look like windows with the use of self-leveling gel. This painting is also on display at my parent's house.

Abstract painting

This one was done in several layers, each of which I let sit for a substantial period of time before figuring out the next layer. This one started off as a woods scene, and then was glazed over, and dripped on with self-leveling gel. Glaze medium and self-leveling or string gel have become my two favorite mediums to work with. I also used transparent paint written into the self-leveling gel to make the paint float.

Abstract painting

I love using supplies people give me, this one was done in part from screen printing inks, and recycled computer inks. I also used self-leveling gel and transparent paint to create this abstract strange monster like painting. I think it looks like eyeballs, but it has been compared to hearts and other organs as well. I should call it the anatomical painting, at least this was way easier to figure out than my anatomy class. Haha
