Art show set up

Here are some example pictures of how my table looked this weekend while set up. I need a better way to display my pendants and need to iron my tablecloth for the next show, but I am really happy with how my display has evolved over time. I used the command hooks that don't damage walls to safely hang my paintings. They look much more impressive and professional when hung on the wall, and with this hooks I can do this with any shows that have wall space.

Abstract ink paintings

I am using bottle inks I just ordered for the first time in quite awhile and I love the color intensity. These paintings are done on canvas board, and texture was added with rubbing alcohol.

Inspired

I asked a friend to give me some inspiration, and she told me she loved ocean blue and creepy/strange paintings that made her think. This is what I came up with, and I sure am glad it gave me a chance to work with wax, though I'm not so sure my carpet feels the same way.

Art shows

I just finished another art show this weekend, and what a fun couple of days they were! I really enjoy talking to people about their art, and answering questions about my own. It was a fun couple of days, a little slow, but still a great time. Here are the pieces I sold, may they cheer up a new home.

Different Shapes

I have been interested in creating new shapes, other than my typical canvas and paper rectangles. I was a little too excited to light the one piece on fire (I am such a pyro). When I am cutting up little bits to glue together in a different way, it tends to make me feel like I am in kindergarten again.

My first collection of themed paintings

This collection is entitled State of Mind, and each was created while I was in that particular state. It was almost laughable seeing myself get so worked up over the Angry Painting, or rifle intensely through my movie collection to find a sad enough one for the Depressed Piece.
